Delete your KL Status Maker account
Last updated: September 12, 2026
This page explains how to delete your KL Status Maker account and the data stored with it. KL Status Maker ("the app") is developed by George Komen.
Do you even have an account?
Most people who use KL Status Maker do not. An account is only needed for the app's AI tools — AI captions, AI music, AI photos, and the AI credits they spend. Everything else (splitting videos, cropping, replacing audio, the video editor, the photo editor apart from its Restyle tab, slideshows, collages, text statuses, captions, sharing) works with no account at all, and the files you work on never leave your device. One AI tool does send a file: AI photo restyle sends the single photo you confirmed. It is not kept on any server, so it is not in the table below — there is nothing stored to delete.
If you have never signed in with Google inside the app, there is no account and nothing to delete.
Deleting your account from inside the app
This is the fastest way, and it deletes everything immediately:
- Open KL Status Maker.
- Open Settings (the gear icon on the home screen).
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete next to "Delete account", then confirm.
Requesting deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email georgekomen91@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, using the subject "Delete my KL Status Maker account". Sending it from that same address is what lets the request be matched to your account. Requests are handled within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently deletes:
| Data | Where it was stored |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in record (Google account ID, email address, sign-in timestamps) | Firebase Authentication |
| Your AI credit balance | Cloud Firestore |
| Your AI generation history (one record per AI request: type, status, credits charged, timestamps) | Cloud Firestore |
| Your saved AI caption conversations (your typed prompts and the generated captions) | Only on your own device — these were never uploaded |
| Your saved AI music chats (your typed messages, and the briefs and lyrics they agreed) | Only on your own device — these were never uploaded |
| Your saved AI photo chats (your typed messages, and the descriptions they settled on) | Only on your own device — these were never uploaded |
| Your AI music library — every track you generated, the audio files included | Only on your own device — the audio was generated on a server but never kept there |
| Your AI photo library — every picture you generated, the image files included | Only on your own device — the picture was generated on a server but never kept there |
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no deactivated, disabled or frozen state.
What is not deleted, and why
- Videos, photos and music you have already saved or shared. These are your own files, in your device's gallery, in its `Music/KLStatusMaker` folder, and in whatever apps you shared them to. The app does not delete your media, and never had a copy of it. That includes AI music tracks and generated pictures: the copy in the app's own library goes, the copy in your `Music/KLStatusMaker` or `Pictures/KLStatusMaker` folder stays, because deleting an account is not a request to delete the music or the pictures you made with it.
- Unspent AI credits are lost, not refunded. Credits are a consumable purchase made through Google Play. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining balance; it cannot be refunded or transferred to another account. The app tells you the exact balance before you confirm. For payment or refund questions, contact Google Play, which processes all purchases — the app never sees or stores your payment details.
- A record that a Google Play purchase token was redeemed. For each credit purchase, a record of the product, the number of credits granted and the redemption time is kept so that the same purchase can never be redeemed twice. Your account identifier is erased from that record, so it no longer identifies you or anyone else.
- Any AI content you reported. If you used the "Report" action on a generated caption, picture or music track, that report — the text reported, the prompt behind it, the reason and any note — is kept so it can still be reviewed and used to improve the app's content filtering. Your account identifier is erased from it, the same as above, so the report no longer identifies you. These are records about content the app generated rather than about you.
- A photo you restyled is not on this list, because it was never kept. The restyle tool sends the photo you confirmed, it is held only for the length of that one request, and no server keeps a copy — so account deletion has nothing to remove and neither does anything else. The restyled *picture* it produced is in your AI photo library, which is in the table above, and in your device's own `Pictures/KLStatusMaker` folder, which is yours and is not touched.
- Data held by Google's own SDKs. Analytics and crash-reporting data collected by Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is processed by Google under Google's own policies, not stored on any server operated by KL Status Maker. There is no advertising data, because the app shows no ads. See the privacy policy for how to turn those off in the app's Settings screen, and how to exercise your rights with Google directly.
Your other data rights
You do not have to delete your account to get a copy of your data. Settings → Account → Export produces a single JSON file containing everything listed in the table above — the AI music and AI photo chats and both libraries' indexes included — plus any reports you filed about AI content, which you can save or send anywhere. See the privacy policy for the full description of your rights and how to exercise them.
